THE KNIGHTSBRIDGE  3/4 SPLIT DRIVEWAY GATE:

3/4 Split metal driveway gates are a great solution for those wanting a driveway gate and pedestrian gate together or for those with limited return space. Manufactured by hand in the UK by skilled craftsmen using the finest materials to provide ultimate durability and quality. This design is constructed using our Premium Frame, which includes chunkier 40mm x 40mm side and bottom rail and thicker 16mm diameter infill bars resulting in a much sturdier and higher quality appearance gate. All of our gates come complete with a 10 year workmanship guarantee, adjustable hinges and latch.

How to Measure: Take three measurements (top, middle and bottom) horizontally between the pillars. Reduce size by 6″ (150mm). The size you end up with is the gate width required.

Width of Gate: Taken as if both sides were touching each other. If you are measuring a gap between existing posts/ pillars, we recommend reducing the opening size by 6″ (150mm) to allow for hinge/ pins and centre clearance.

Height of Gate: Taken to the highest point of each gate. We recommend allowing a 50mm (2″) clearance between the bottom edge of gate and driveway (as long as the drive is level). If you require a more exact height, please contact us to order.

Gate Feature Options: Add style to your gate, select from feature Fleur De Lys, Ball, Spearhead or without.

Gate Furniture Included (hinges etc): 4 x adjustable hinges, hinge pins, latch and drop bolts included with each gate. As standard, the position of the hinge will be 6″ (150mm) from the bottom edge of gate and 6″ (150mm) from top edge of gate. If you require these to be different (if for example you already have pins set into a post/ pillar), please call us.

Metal Hanging Gate Posts:  Our posts come with a feature pyramid post cap and the hanging pins pre welded so once the posts are fitted the gates can be easily hung onto the pins. The finish of them is the same as the finish you choose for your gate. We correctly match the height of your post for you to suit your gate. Choose between wall fitted posts (requires bolts to fix to your wall and the post holes drilled on site)  or below ground which can be concreted in.

We recommend: 

• 2 x 80mm x 80mm for opening under 8ft wide
• 2 x 100mm x 100mm for opening width 8ft and over
• 2 x 120mm x 120mm for opening width 10ft and over (if your gate is under 4ft tall then a 100mm x 100mm will be suitable)

Supplied to allow the posts to sit in the ground to a depth of 1ft 5″ (450mm). The post will arrive cut to size (therefore, if you selected a gate height of 3ft 6″, the post length will be 4ft 11″) unless above ground post is chosen.
