Simply take three horizontal measurements between existing posts/ pillars…top, middle and bottom. Take SMALLEST width.
We recommend allowing a gap of 5mm to allow for easier installation.
Width: Total width of railing.
Height: From bottom edge of railing to highest point.
If mounting on top of wall, we recommend a 50mm (2″) gap between bottom edge of railing to top of wall. Therefore, if you selected a railing height of 400mm and had a 50mm clearance your total height would be 450mm.

This design is constructed using our Premium Frame, which includes chunkier 40mm x 40mm frame and inset with hardwood iroko timber combining the strength of the steel and beauty of the wood resulting in a much sturdier and higher quality appearance railing. When building our railings we allow the gate to “breathe” ensuring an expansion gap is left between the metal frame and the timber (along the cladding width) This helps to prevent from any un wanted railing movement or twisting of the frame . All of our railings come complete with a 10 year workmanship guarantee.
- Wall fixings are provided as standard or you can buy the matching 40mm x 40mm posts that can be fixed into the ground.
- Width of Railing: Railings will be made to the size you order. It is good practice to allow a minimum of 5mm on the width for any tolerances and uneven walls etc

METAL FRAMED RAILINGS
Installing Railings
Each panel purchased comes with 4x “L” brackets. Using self tapping screws, fix the “L” brackets to each corner (for aesthetical reasons, fix the brackets to the rear of the panel). Then attach the panel to the existing pillar/ post.
