Measuring for your new sliding gate is actually a very simple process.
Simply take a measurement of your opening.
For a sliding gate to work, an overhang of 800mm is required. This is to hold the gate upright whilst opening/ closing.
So, your sliding gate width will be “opening width” + 800mm.
For example, if opening width = 3m 420mm (+ 800mm overhang) then the width is 4m 220mm.
Width: Total width of sliding gate including required overhang. Sliding gates arrive in 2 or 3 sections (dependant on size). These are simply bolted together on site.
Height: Taken from lowest to highest point of the gate including the horns.

Expertly crafted by hand in the UK using our “Premium Frame” system. Deeper frames combined with thicker bars to create a stunning and durable metal sliding gate. Manufactured to any width or height to suit your requirements. Complete with a 10 year warranty on all welds.
Finish
As standard, black, anthracite grey or white included within the gate price. This finish should be looked at more like a primer that requires much more care and maintenance compared to our “Long Life” finish (additional charge). Long life finish has a zinc primer then powder coated. This system provides more protection against rust than our free finish option.
Sliding Gate Kit
For manual or electric gates. We offer various kits to suit your drive and set up requirements. Bolt down or concrete in track system, with receiving posts or brackets. Automation
For performance and safety, we recommend BFT Are’s 1000 kit (24v). Complete with a 3 year manufacturers guarantee.
How the Gate Arrives
In 3 sections. Simply bolt sections together using the pre drilled holes. The gates will be delivered by a two man team to an area of your choice.

How to Measure
Measuring for your new sliding gate is actually a very simple process.
Simply take a measurement of your opening.
Make a note of the SMALLEST width.
** If you are replacing the posts, take a measurement of the whole opening width and reduce size by the width of the posts. For example: Opening width of 3m 460mm minus 2x posts (at 100mm wide each) = 3m 260mm.
Please note: If purchasing metal posts with your gate, hinge pins will be welded to the post. If not, we supply hinge pin plates for you to fix to existing posts/ pillars.

Included
- Powder coated frame. Available in black, anthracite grey or white (any RAL colour available at additional cost). We recommend selecting “Longlife” finish for enhanced protection.
Available Sizes:
- Width: from 6ft to a massive 20ft
- Height: from 4ft to 7ft – taken to the highest point of the gate.
- Made to Measure – all gates online can be purchased to the nearest inch, if you do require a more precise size, please contact us. (Unlike others – there is NO additional cost for bespoke, we simply base price on the next size!).
Please note: Sliding gates will arrive in 3 sections that simply bolt together on site. Pre drilled holes.
If selecting wheels, 4 wheels are fitted. The sliding gate will also function normally with just 2 fitted. If the gate is snagging on the track, remove a wheel from each section.
