Iroko hardwood timber comes from the Milicia excelsa tree and is commonly known for it’s warm and attractive appearance. Featuring a golden to dark brown color with interlocked grain patterns. As it ages, it tends to darken, developing a rich patina that adds to its aesthetic appeal.
With natural weather-resistant properties, which make it ideal for outdoor use. It can withstand exposure to different weather conditions, including rain, sun, and humidity, without significant deterioration. This makes it a preferred material for outdoor gates.

How to Measure
Measuring for your new sliding gate is actually a very simple process.
Simply take a measurement of your opening.
Make a note of the SMALLEST width.
** If you are replacing the posts, take a measurement of the whole opening width and reduce size by the width of the posts. For example: Opening width of 3m 460mm minus 2x posts (at 100mm wide each) = 3m 260mm.
Please note: If purchasing metal posts with your gate, hinge pins will be welded to the post. If not, we supply hinge pin plates for you to fix to existing posts/ pillars.
For a sliding gate to work, an overhang of 800mm is required. This is to hold the gate upright whilst opening/ closing.
So, your sliding gate width will be “opening width” + 800mm.
For example, if opening width = 3m 420mm (+ 800mm overhang) then the width is 4m 220mm.

Included
- Powder coated frame. Available in black, anthracite grey or white (any RAL colour available at additional cost). We recommend selecting “Longlife” finish for enhanced protection.
Available Sizes:
- Width: from 6ft to a massive 20ft
- Height: from 4ft to 7ft – taken to the highest point of the gate.
- Made to Measure – all gates online can be purchased to the nearest inch, if you do require a more precise size, please contact us. (Unlike others – there is NO additional cost for bespoke, we simply base price on the next size!).
Please note: Sliding gates will arrive in 3 sections that simply bolt together on site. Pre drilled holes.
If selecting wheels, 4 wheels are fitted. The sliding gate will also function normally with just 2 fitted. If the gate is snagging on the track, remove a wheel from each section.
