SLIDING GATE KITS

The systems we offer are as below.
SET UP ONE
Suitable for every sliding gate design.
Includes:
- Bolt down or concrete down track
- 2x Metal Receiving Posts: 4″ x 4″ (100mm x 100mm) 8ft long (2m 400mm). Both have (2x) pre fabricated gate catches attached. Length of 8ft to allow fitment underground.
- 1 x Support Post: with arm and 2x nylon rollers
- “U” rail – connects to gate then to support post
- 4 x wheels
Advantages
- Works with every slding gate design
- Electric or manual
- Can be positioned at any distance away from wall (handy if you have an uneven/ stone wall)
Disadvantages
- Slightly more work. Total of three holes will need to be dug for the 3 posts.
- If manual, harder to lock shut without a specialist to cut post for lock system.
SET UP TWO
Wooden sliding gates that require a locking system. Wooden posts used instead of metal posts to allow easy fitting of locking system for wooden sliding gates.
Includes:
- Bolt down or concrete down track
- 2x Wooden Receiving Posts: 4″ x 4″ (100mm x 100mm) 8ft long (2m 400mm). Length of 8ft to allow fitment underground.
- 1 x Support Post: with arm and 2x nylon rollers
- “U” rail – connects to gate then to support post
- 4 x wheels
Advantages
- Easy to fit lock system into wooden receiving post
- Works with every slding gate design
- Electric or manual
- Can be positioned at any distance away from wall (handy if you have an uneven/ stone wall)
Disadvantages
- Slightly more work. Total of three holes will need to be dug for the 3 posts.
- Wooden posts have a life span of between 10 to 15 years, metal posts more durable.
SET UP THREE
Works with any gate design but you’ll need a flat wall in order to place the receiving brackets for the gate to open and close to. Main benefit of this set up is not needing “receiving posts” as brackets are mounted on the internal face on your wall.

Advantages

Disadvantages
- Only works with flat walls
SET UP FOUR
Only works with “FLAT TOP” designs. Overhead guide bracket used rather than a support post.
Includes:
- Bolt down or concrete in tracks
- Overhead guide bracket with nylon rollers

Advantages
- Cost effective set up system
- Reduced labour compared to other set ups
- No need for “U” rail on gate
Disadvantages
- Only works with “FLAT TOP” gate designs
- Wooden posts life span 10 to 15 years, metal posts more durable
SET UP FIVE
Lowest cost set up with less labour time. Only works with “FLAT TOP” designs. Overhead guide bracket used rather than a support post. Needs to have a flat internal wall to mount receiving brackets to.
Includes:
- Bolt down or concrete in tracks
- 2 x Receiving Wall Brackets
- Overhead guide bracket with nylon rollers

- Wall must be structurally sound
