We welcome (and encourage) all reviews good…or bad. This has helped us in the past to rectify mistakes made during the manufacturing process and also how our customer notification system works. Previously a customer would be notified of an order being placed by email, then receive a call and email when the gate would be arriving. Our system now notifies the customer via text/ email on every step during the manufacturing process. We hope you order from us and really do appreciate your feedback once your product is delivered.
Fast and fastidious
Very pleased with our HUGE new bespoke wooden gates, thanks. Professional, prompt & friendly comms throughout, from the factory tour last year to the careful attention in getting the sizing right and helping to ensure that my existing hinge arrangement would fit. Delivered (in superb protective wrapping) within a fortnight of ordering. Superb.
Highly recommend, excellent quality
We ordered our made to measure gates in January and they came within the original stated timeframe! Gates are of excellent quality, we get so many compliments on them. During the process you are updated at each stage but if you would like an update you can email the team who are really helpful. Highly recommend, friendly helpful team & amazing quality gates!
Great service and quality.
I received regular updates on progress hence able to plan fitting easily (gate is for busy hotel) The gate was well packaged, everything was present and correct. Build was very good, it’s a decent weight and I think it’ll prove solid enough to cope with the use it’ll get for many years.
Visually it’s excellent and has already drawn several admiring comments.
Overall a super service and quality product.

The whole experience was excellent, I was helped measuring the opening, discussing the options and finally choosing the right gate. I was kept informed during the UK manufacturing process, order was shipped as arranged, all well packaged. Hanging the gate (on my own) was possible, the instructions could be a little clearer but help is at hand via telephone. After sale service is also first rate. Overall – Very impressed 5 *****

Fittings and lock made in hardwood.
Arrived 4 to 5 weeks extremely well packaged and in perfect condition. All again extremely excellent material. I fitted then oiled the gates which look amazing. So a huge thank you for your quality control and updates during the waiting period which I found useful in planning and informing my customer. My customer was delighted.
Good service!
The gate looks beautiful! We haven’t fitted it yet as we are currently painting the gateposts, but the wood is stunning and I’m sure will look great and and function well when hung. We chose an unfinished gate – but having said that, the finish was excellent, needing only a few coats of Danish oil to weatherproof it. I received emails when the order was received, when the gate went into production, and when they you expected to deliver. Good service!
Bespoke driveway gates
Ordered bespoke driveway gates over the phone from an image on the website. Easy to do and they look really good, infact the website pics don’t really do them justice as much sturdier/chunkier looking in real life. Nicely fabricated and finished and my customers are very pleased as am I.
Helpful, friendly, would recommend
After some helpful guidance from G&F, I ordered some bespoke length railings and pillars to match my existing railings. From my many questions to ordering to delivery and beyond, communication was excellent. Very happy with the railings, now installed and looking great.
First class service
The whole process from ordering to delivery was painless, chose online as price was good, phoned to order and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, delivery was just over a week which was super speedy. I called back before delivery to add a stain which again was no trouble for them. Kept in the loop the whole time with text and emails from both Gates and Fences and the delivery firm. First class service all round. Thank you 😊
A solid beast!
It’s seem’s more and more difficult these days to to get such quality so it was a delight for me to receive a product which surpassed my expectations. Very solid and well manufactured gate … Looks really nice and puts my neighbours side gates to shame haha! Well done for producing such a quality product.

Only small negative, wish they had informed me of true delivery date on order, not just standard reply of 4 weeks which turned out to be 7. Otherwise would highly recommend

Fantastic gate what more can I say. It was delivered within the communicated timescale, it arrived securely and damage free. The updates as the gate was in production was an added bonus and kept me up to date of the progress of the gate. The quality is wonderful and definitely worth the money. I have had so many comments from passers by asking where it is from. Would absolutely use Gates and Fences again and recommend.
Quality gate delivered promptly
Ordered a 5 bar field gate to replace a tired old frame. Received a gate far more substantial in quality and appearance that has enhanced the front of our house. Delivery was remarkably prompt and we were informed of progress throughout.
Very happy and now looking to replace 2 side gates.
Camden railings and Gate in Anthracite
Very rarely these days do you get great service and a great product.
From initial contact to manufacturing and Subsequent delivery I was kept up to date. Paul Jones was very helpful and patient and gave excellent help re how to size etc prior to ordering.
Installation advice was also invaluable and as a result I purchased the correct fixings and completed the job.
