Height of the gate is always to the highest point shown.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ELECTRIC SLIDING GATES: Automated sliding gates can be extremely dangerous if not correctly fitted. Every install is different with different number of safety edges required which are purchased separately to our kits. It is advisable to seek professional advice before attempting to purchase/ install.

Benefits of Iroko Sliding Gates

Iroko wood is known for its durability and aesthetic appeal, making it an excellent choice for sliding gates. Here are some of the key benefits of an Iroko sliding gate:

1. Durability and Longevity

  • Hardwood Properties: Iroko is a dense hardwood that is resistant to decay and insects, providing a long lifespan with minimal maintenance.
  • Weather Resistance: Its natural oils help protect it from the elements, making it suitable for outdoor use.

2. Aesthetic Appeal

  • Beautiful Grain: Iroko has a rich, attractive color and grain pattern, which can enhance the overall appearance of your property.
  • Customisation: The wood can be stained or finished in various ways to match the architectural style of your home.

3. Environmental Considerations

  • Sustainable Sourcing: When sourced responsibly, Iroko can be an eco-friendly option, especially if it comes from certified sustainable forests.
  • Biodegradable: Unlike synthetic materials, wood is biodegradable and can be recycled at the end of its life.

4. Low Maintenance

  • Minimal Upkeep: Iroko gates require less maintenance than softwoods, only needing occasional cleaning and oiling to maintain their appearance.
  • Resistance to Warping: Its stability helps prevent warping and splitting, which can be common in lower-quality woods.

5. Security

  • Solid Structure: The strength of Iroko wood provides a robust barrier, enhancing security for your property.
  • Customisation Options: Gates can be designed with various locking mechanisms to improve security further.

6. Ease of Installation

  • Lightweight Compared to Other Hardwoods: While still robust, Iroko is lighter than some other hardwoods, making it easier to handle during installation.
  • Versatile Design Options: Iroko can be shaped and joined in various ways, allowing for creative gate designs.

7. Noise Reduction

  • Sound Absorption: The density of Iroko wood can help reduce noise from outside, providing a quieter environment.

Conclusion

An Iroko sliding gate combines beauty, functionality, and durability, making it an excellent investment for any property. Whether you're looking for security, aesthetic appeal, or a low-maintenance solution, an Iroko sliding gate can meet your needs effectively.
