      *WIDTH

      How to Measure: Simply take the width between the opening posts/ pillars plus 800mm (for required overhang).

      It's important to remember for a sliding gate to work, one side must have a clearance of "opening width + required overhang". For example. If your opening is 3m you would need a clearance of "opening" (3m) + "overhang" (800mm) = 3m 800mm.

      *HEIGHT

      Taken to the highest point of the gate. We recommend leaving a gap of 25mm (1") clearance between the bottom edge of the gate and ground level. 

      Whilst looking at the back of the gate, will it slide to the left or to the right?

      *HORN DESIGN

      Change the design on the side and centre gate horns.

      SLIDING GATE KIT

      Sliding gate kit for manual or electric opening system. After years of experience and research, we recommend (and use) this set up for sliding gates. Eliminates any additional fabrication/ welding that may otherwise be required.

      Included:

      2x Metal Receiving Posts: 4" x 4" (100mm x 100mm) 8ft long (2m 400mm). Both have (2x) pre fabricated gate catches attached. Length of 8ft to allow fitment underground, (1) x Support Post: with arm and 2x nylon rollers, (3x) 3m Ground Track, (1x) “U” Rail – 4m, (2x) Wheels.

      BOLT DOWN TRACK OR CONCRETE IN?

      WOULD YOU LIKE US TO FIT THE WHEELS?

      Supplied and fitted to your sliding gate. We recommend adding this option. Fitting wheels yourself can be a challenge due to the weight of the gate.

      Manufactured by hand to any size in the UK. Produced using the finest, hand selected slow grown Redwood Pine using traditional, time served construction techniques. Electric or manual operating systems. Sliding gate will arrive in two sections and is simply bolted together on site.
