      How to Measure: Simply take the width between the opening posts/ pillars plus 800mm (for required overhang).

      It's important to remember for a sliding gate to work, one side must have a clearance of "opening width + required overhang". For example. If your opening is 3m you would need a clearance of "opening" (3m) + "overhang" (800mm) = 3m 800mm.

      Our “Prestige” sliding gate range. Combining the strength and durability of deep metal frames with the natural beauty of hand selected timber infill to create a truly elegant sliding gate, that really does “make an entrance”. Manufactured from the finest Iroko (hardwood) – a naturally aesthetically pleasing wood. Expertly crafted by hand to any size in the UK. First by our skilled fabricators then to our experienced joiners for infill. Our metal framed gate range is what we are most proud of. Attention to detail both for look and durability is paramount. Sturdy 100mm x 50mm premium bottom rail, 50mm x 50mm framework, smooth welded joints and solid 30mm x 15mm rear bracing bars and stainless steel screws to fix the timber into place. To help prevent the gate from twisting or warping, welded braces are placed throughout the rear of the gate to ensure the cladding is correctly fixed. Instalation available – call for details.

        How to Measure

        Measuring for your new sliding gate is actually a very simple process.

           Simply take a measurement of your opening.

        Please note:

        ** If you are replacing the posts, take a measurement of the whole opening width and reduce size by the width of the posts. For example: Opening width of 3m 460mm minus 2x posts (at 100mm wide each) = 3m 260mm.

        For a sliding gate to work, an overhang of 800mm is required. This is to hold the gate upright whilst opening/ closing.

        So, your sliding gate width will be “opening width” + 800mm.

        For example, if opening width = 3m 420mm (+ 800mm overhang) then the width is 4m 220mm.

        Included with the Sliding Gate

        • Powder coated frame. Available in black, anthracite grey or white (any RAL colour available at additional cost). We recommend selecting “Longlife” finish for enhanced protection.

        Available Sizes:

        • Width: from 6ft to a massive 20ft
        • Height: from 4ft to 7ft – taken to the highest point of the gate.
        • Made to Measure – all gates online can be purchased to the nearest inch, if you do require a more precise size, please contact us. (Unlike others – there is NO additional cost for bespoke, we simply base price on the next size!).

        Please note: Sliding gates will arrive in 3 sections that simply bolt together on site. Pre drilled holes.

        If selecting wheels, 4 wheels are fitted. The sliding gate will also function normally with just 2 fitted. If the gate is snagging on the track, remove a wheel from each section.
